The redesigned Lexus GX has been a hit with consumers as third quarter sales soared 16.5% compared to last year. The company is seeking to build on that momentum with the 2025 model, which features a handful of relatively minor updates.
Set to arrive at U.S. dealerships early next year, the 2025 GX starts at $65,285 including a destination fee of $1,350. That’s a slight increase as the 2024 model began at $64,250.

So what do buyers get for the extra $1,035? Not much, but a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column now comes standard as does the Lexus Memory System. This is a relatively minor change as these items used to be standard on everything except the Premium and Overtrail.
While that’s not much to get excited about, the Overtrail and Overtrail+ now come equipped with a 1-inch (25 mm) lift. This gives the models 9.8 inches (249 mm) of ground clearance as well as approach, departure, and breakover angles of 26°, 22°, and 24°.
The off-road focused trims also gain an onboard air compressor as well as prewired auxiliary switches. These are welcome additions, but they boost the price from $69,250 to $72,930 for the Overtrail. Likewise, the Overtrail+ climbs from $77,250 to $80,395.
While that appears to be the extent of the changes, all models are equipped with a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 that produces 349 hp (468 kW / 354 PS) and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a ten-speed automatic transmission as well as a full-time four-wheel drive system with a limited-slip center locking differential. This setup enables the body-on-frame SUV to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 6.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 109 mph (175 km/h).
Besides the powerful engine, the 2025 GX comes nicely equipped with heated and ventilated front seats wrapped in NuLuxe upholstery. They’re joined by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch infotainment system, and a 10-speaker audio system. Other highlights include a moonroof and 20-inch wheels.
Higher-end variants are even more luxurious as they add semi-aniline leather seats with a massage function. The GX can also be equipped with a power-folding third-row, a heated leather steering wheel, and a 21-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio system.
